In Your Pants with Dr. Susie G

What’s one question you’ve always wanted to ask about your private parts but were too shy to ask? Oh come on, we all have one!

I’m stoked to share with you my new podcast In Your Pants. Yup, just like the title describes we’re going to talk about everything ‘down below.’ It’s time to deconstruct social stigmas and taboos around your sexual health (and health in general) so that you can start feeling comfortable in your body, especially with your joystick and hoo-ha.

For your listening pleasure, In Your Pants is an honest, open, and transparent conversation about those ‘oh so embarrassing’ topics that we only discuss behind closed doors. Watch out, 'cause I’m taking the hinges apart and removing all doors!

I’m dying to know what’s on your mind so that I can ease your fears and entice your sexual taste buds. Yum!

Don’t be shy, let me know your thoughts. Email me your questions so that I can answer them on the show.

Tightly Wound

Shelby Hadden is an awesome chick. No really, she’s kickass. You know why? Because she’s got grit and courage to face her fears around pelvic pain and vaginismus. She transformed her fears to positively impact herself and the people around her by sharing the ups and downs of her journey with vaginismus with the rest of the world. This is no easy task! How many of us would willingly talk about our sexual problems to the world, let alone our closest friends?!

Filmmaker, Shelby Hadden, created a documentary called Tightly Wound, a 15-minute animated film that follows Shelby’s experience with vaginismus; a pelvic floor condition characterized by involuntary contractions of the pelvic floor muscles that tighten the vaginal entrance, causing pain, penetration problems, and inability to have intercourse. It chronicles the various ways it has affected her life – how health professionals have failed her, men have rejected her, and shame, anger, and hatred have plagued her body.

On today's show, Shelby shares her personal story with us. She tells us how she faced her fears and uncertainty dealing with vaginismus only to be given an opportunity to learn and thrive in the face of her pain.

Shelby is an advocate for both men and women with pelvic pain and encourages anyone suffering with pain to speak freely about their experiences so that they can feel supported, loved, and connected with others in similar situations.
