LOWER BACK PAIN AND SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION
With a particular interest in the spinal source of pelvic pain, Di Wu uses his past training and clinical experience in Orthopedic surgery to complement and advance his current approach to physical therapy for pelvic pain.
In his clinic, Di sees men of all ages have pelvic concerns: young men (even teenagers) with hard-flaccid symptoms; middle-age men with pelvic pain, urinary dysfunction, and sexual dysfunction; and elderly men with erectile dysfunction but without pain.
Pelvic and sexual health concerns are common, but treatable 🎉, regardless of age.
The spine can be a source of pelvic pain for some fellas: nerves connect the spine to the pelvic floor and impact the penis, bladder, and bowel, concerns that commonly go unaddressed by most physicians.
Pooping, peeing, and sexual intercourse (our basic physiological functions!) are just as important as moving with ease. Addressing our basic physiological functions allow the nervous system to dial down, and creates the space for us to feel confident and safe.
Di brings a wealth of experience and training to his practice, but he stresses the importance of being human with the people we’re treating. He invites clinicians to be real, be you: and you’ll uncover what your patients really need to feel better.
Di Wu, also known as Woody, obtained his medical degree at the China Medical University. After graduating, he completed his post-graduate training in Orthopedic surgery at Beijing Tiantan Hospital. He worked as an attending orthopedic surgeon at Fuxin Central Hospital caring for trauma and spine injuries. Di offers multiple approaches to help patients eliminate pain and heal from an injury that go beyond a surgical approach and rely upon the human body’s incredible capacity to heal.
