AGING AND ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION

Erectile dysfunction with age is common. As we age, bodies naturally change, and so do penises and erections.

Getting older impacts your sexual function:

  • You may need more stimulation to become aroused

  • It may be easier to lose an erection and more difficult to get it back

  • The angle of your erection may have changed

  • The force and volume of ejaculation may be less than you remember

  • It may be harder to achieve an orgasm, or you may not be able to cum

  • And you may have to wait longer to get another erection after cumming

But here’s the good news: just because your erections have chilled out, it doesn’t mean you can’t still have an intense and pleasurable sexual experience.

You're still capable of giving and receiving pleasure, even if your penis doesn't function the same way it once did. With age, both biological and psychological factors play an important role in sexual functioning and sexual satisfaction for men.

Pleasure can come in many different forms, even if you're experiencing erectile dysfunction.
