4 EXERCISES FROM DR. SUSIE GRONSKI'S PELVIC PAIN RELIEF PROGRAM FOR MEN

In celebration of Pelvic Pain The Ultimate C⛔️ck Block, I share strategies and techniques in these exclusive videos from my Pelvic Pain Relief Program for men.

These 4 training videos explain hands-on strategies for easing pelvic pain in men:

  • Internal therapy for pelvic pain in men using the Therawand

  • Pelvic floor muscle massage

  • Abdominal 'trigger point' release

  • Soft tissue mobilization

PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLE MASSAGE FOR MEN

Quick anatomy overview to locate your superficial pelvic floor muscles including the perineal membrane, red-flags to look out for, and a simple technique to massage and relax the pelvic floor muscles.

INTERNAL THERAPY FOR PELVIC PAIN IN MEN USING THE THERAWAND

Gently locate tender spots of the male pelvic floor to ease pelvic pain.

I always say that "we don't treat pain with more pain" and I mean it! While we are addressing 'hot spots" of the pelvic floor internally, be mindful and don't push discomfort to pain. The mission is to nudge towards comfort. We use touch to dial down pelvic muscle guarding and pain. Adding focused breathing can also help modulate pain and protective responses.

If we rank pain on a scale of: 0 = no pain and 10 = headed to the emergency room, aim to keep the sensations below a 3. Side note: You don't always have to do internal work to feel better. If you're hesitant, resistant, or just not interested in internal work, that's ok. There are many other ways you can address your pelvic concerns and feel better.

ABDOMINAL 'TRIGGER POINT' RELEASE FOR PELVIC PAIN IN MEN

Gently locate tender spots in the belly for male pelvic pain relief.

Remember, we don't treat pain with more pain when investigating hot spots! Be mindful and don't push discomfort to pain.

The mission is to provide non-painful touch to reinforce sensory messages of safety, relaxation, and feel-good vibes to our body including our brain. The more we reinforce positive experiences with our body, whether through movement or touch, the less protective our nervous system will be.

SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION FOR MALE PELVIC PAIN RELIEF

This soft tissue mobilization technique (also known as connective tissue mobilization or skin rolling) helps improve tissue mobility and reduce pain.
